Kids Teaching Kids

This term eleven students were selected to participate in Kids in Action. Kids in Action is a two day conference where kids teach kids about the environment and how they can contribute to making our world better.

This year we shared a presentation with other kids. We taught them about how we can regenerate our rainforests by making balls of clay with compost and seeds inside. The balls are then left in the growing area for nature to do her magic. These balls are used in some areas of the world to regenerate large areas of rainforest and they are dropped from planes.

We also participated in an art activity where we had to colour squirrel glider, called a Dahmongah by people indigenous to Mt Mee. We also painted the background and put on the message: Save our Forest. At the conference the kids really enjoyed all of the different ways to help improve our environment.
