Debating

In 2010 Mount Mee State School established an interschool debating competition with Woodford P-10 and Delaneys Creek State Schools. Students compete in three different debating formats over the year to showcase their skills.

Environmental education

Due our school's environmental significance at the top of the Stanley River Catchment, it is important that our school is proactive in our approach to environmental education. When our units of work are designed they are done so with a strong environmental focus to ensure that students are aware of their  responsibilities to our unique environment. In addition our school gardens and bush tucker gardens help to raise awareness of how students can take an active role in modelling environmental care and passion in others.

Active After School Communities (AASC)

Our school is a proud participant of the Sporting Schools Community. This program provides students of our school a  sport program each term for one or two  afternoons each week. This program runs from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

Sporting Schools is a $320 million Australian Government initiative designed to help schools increase children's participation in sport and connect them with community sport opportunities. Sporting Schools programs are provided free to children and their families to help students build the confidence and capability to be active for life. To help achieve this, Sport Australia has partnered with more than 35 national sporting organisations (NSOs). In 2021 we participated in sports such as softball, cricket, tenpin bowling and soccer.
