Elective program

Staff of Mount Mee State School believe that a great education, comes not only from the curriculum offerings of the Australian Curriculum, but the inclusion of a diverse range of extra-curricular activities that can enhance the learning opportunities of our students. Through our Elective Program, students from year 3 to year 6 have the opportunity to apply the learning in their classrooms to a range of extra activities held each week. These activities include media studies, environmental studies, information and communication technologies, visual arts, mechanics and technology.

Debating

In 2010 Mount Mee State School established an interschool debating competition with Woodford P-10 and Delaneys Creek State Schools. Students compete in three different debating formats over the year to showcase their skills.

Environmental education

Due our school's environmental significance at the top of the Stanley River Catchment, it is important that our school is proactive in our approach to environmental education. Our leading group of students, known as the Enviro Freaks, model and educate other students on best practice.
